Royal Mission Board
Royal Mission is a foundation and is led by a board. We ask the board to you:
1. Mark van den Berg (Chairman)
I am married to Petra and worked as a policy in the municipality Smallingerland. Petra and I have been active in various forms of youth, especially through Youth Alpha. In 2005 we learned Martin and Karin know and since then we have much to work together in youth work, conferences, concerts, school Triple-T formation and healing services. I find it a privilege to chair (and active member) of Royal Mission.
2. Erwin Beers (Treasurer)
I am married to Alien and we live in Leeuwarden. I work as regional director for Youth Services Friesland and Alien and I are also very involved with the vision and development of Royal Mission. It's pretty impressive to see what God has done in recent years by Royal Mission. And not least in our own lives! I am also a board member of Royal Mission School.
3. Richard Legierse (Secretary)
I am married to Esther and we have 3 daughters: Bente, Xante and Merle. We live in the Rotterdam area and in my daily life I am an entrepreneur and SAP Consultant. For years I have friends with Martin from our collaboration with Teens Training in Belgium. It is an honor to be able to work together again as this new vision of Royal Mission.
4. Koornstra Martin (Director)
Martin was born in Belgium in a family of missionaries. At a young age he was involved in Christian work, especially among teenagers and youth. First he attended to an aeronautical engineer and went to work for a Japanese company. After 2 years he resigned to go to the Bible to go with a clear vocation and went below to work fulltime with Karin in Flanders. Martin is a dynamic and enthusiastic speaker, and his vision is to be national churches and organizations to support through training, education and coaching under the name Royal Mission.
5. Karin Koornstra (Director)
Karin grew up in Limburg, studied in Rotterdam schoolteacher, worked 2 years in an orphanage in Suriname and attended Bible school in België.Karin and Martin have 2 daughters that are also actively involved at Royal Mission. Karin gives coaching and education about children's ministry, led the Royal Mission Team and guitar lessons to pupils.
She's moved on children and has a great vision for children's well in every church and also a big heart for children in poor countries.
Why she is also Ambassador for Compassion.
